Ergonomic / Job Site / Physical Demand Assessment



Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) or Job Demands Analysis

  • Analysis of a particular job to identify the essential and non-essential physical components of a job
  • It can be utilized along with the results of an FAE, for the purpose of determining whether certain work is safe and suitable for an injured worker
  • A Risk Factor Assessment (RFA) can also be completed to assess the upper and/or lower extremity risk factors within a job.
  

Risk Factor Assessment

  • Evaluation of a particular job or worksite
  • Identifies specific areas of risk for injury or illness/safety concerns
  • Provides ergonomic recommendations

 

Job Site Assessment (JSA)

  • A comprehensive evaluation of the worker, the work environment/work station and essential/non essential job demands
  • A determination of the physical demands of the job and an assessment of the suitability of the worker to the job can be made.
  • The report includes qualitative ergonomic and human risk factor identification, along with recommendations for to prevent and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
