UHN Rehabilitation Solutions CARF Accredited General Occupational Rehabilitation Program
Admission is determined by a baseline functional assessment. Goals of the programs: - To allow client's to practice work activities within a safe environment
- To build a client's endurance and tolerances both physically and emotionally to deal with return to a productive life
- To facilitate a client's return to work through return to work planning
| We offer: General Occupational Rehabilitation (CARF Accredited)- The program focuses on total body exercise, work simulated tasks and body mechanics training/education with integrated return to work planning
- Clients with jobs to return to and no psychological or psychosocial issues are appropriate
- Attendance 3 to 5 times per week for 2-4 hrs per day for 6 to 8 weeks
- Clients usually begin return to work at 4-6 weeks
Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation- The program focuses on total body exercise, work conditioning & hardening; group and individual counselling and education; return to work planning
- Clients may have vocational and psychological issues requiring a more multidisciplinary approach including a Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and OT/PT.
- Attendance 5 times per week for 5 -7 hrs per day for 8 to 12 weeks
- Clients usually begin return to work if job available at 8 weeks
We will provide regular progress updates and implement return to work planning early on. |
