UHN Rehabilitation Solutions is affiliated with University of Toronto and other educational institutions to provide education and training to a new generation of clinicians. We also participate in numerous means to share, exchange and transfer knowledge to interested stakeholders. These activities have direct impact on the clinical care we provided. | Our Knowledge Exchange and Transfer (KTE) Highlights:- Participation at joint conferences to share knowledge with key stakeholders such as Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
- Partnerships with key influentials such as the Institute for Work and Health.
- Planning in place for hiring of KTE Broker.
- Future plans include KTE culture development through workshops, presentations and educational activities, the creation KTE tools aimed at key stakeholder audiences, active media relations, and annual reports and brochures.
Our goals for Knowledge Exchange and Transfer are:- To build key audience/stakeholder KTE relationships to enhance the utilization of our research.
- To enhance stakeholder capacity use research evidence.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of our KTE initiatives.
- To inform the development of evidence based interventions that are meaningful to the consumers of research.
UHN RS is committed to ongoing development of our infrastructure as well as building long-term relationships with key stakeholders. We have identified some strategic partners such as other treatment centres, family physicians with high volumes of WSIB patients, and workplace parties with whom we are establishing ongoing lines of communication.
Professional Education UHN Rehabilitation Solutions offers a number of professional education events each year.
